Our history
Professionalisation and growth
Proceq can look back at a long history, back with loads of experience. The company was founded in 2001 as Van de Walle apparatenbeheer (proces equipment) or VdWA, specialising in heat exchangers as well as in pressure vessels, condensers and gas coolers.
In 2015, Proceq enters a new era of professional development and growth. Existing clients were joined by brand new ones. Gradually, Proceq gets more specialised in more complex solutions.
Yet, the focus remains unchanged: heat exchangers, condensers and gas coolers, pressure vessels, skids and derivates. Throughout everything it does, Proceq puts a strong focus on tailor-made work, from designing and calculating to producing and installing. That is why we do not have a product catalogue, every piece of equipment we develop and build is truly unique, fully based on the expectations of our clients. Do you only have a hazy idea? Or do you have a twenty-page document with detailed specifications? Proceq knows the business!
Relocation
Due to the steady growth, Proceq moves in 2018 from a 1.800 m2 to a 4.500 m2 production facility. Thanks to this large production hall, we can build even bigger equipment.
Proceq grew from a small start-up to a medium-sized SME, fueled by specialised engineers and designers/calculators/technical specialists, and skilled welders. Van de Walle has changed its name to ‘Proceq process equipment’, as this name reflects the current focus more on tailor-made work in the process industry, with a large amount of added value.

Proceq is now part of the Axon Group, and that's great news for our customers. We now have access to more resources and expertise, which means better and more complete solutions and services for you. Being part of Axon strengthens our commitment to innovation and helps us share knowledge. With Axon, we are now even better equipped to provide end-to-end process equipment solutions, ensuring all your needs are met with unparalleled expertise and support.
Name change
To better reflect our international ambitions and make it easier for everyone to recognise and remember us, Van de Walle apparatenbeheer is now Proceq. We chose Proceq because it is short, dynamic, and easy to pronounce in any language — while still carrying forward the values and expertise you know us for. A new name, the same commitment to excellence.
